The lights are on
A group calling themselves Mane6 has been working on an unlicensed fighting game based on the My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic TV show for the last two years. Unfortunately, Hasbro has shut the project down.
According to the group's official blog, Hasbro sent them a cease and desist letter asking them, "to cease game development, remove any materials that might contain My Little Pony characters, names, locations or related elements from the sites we control (Our site, our youtube, our twitch), and 'cease any further use of [their] MY LITTLE PONY property'."
Mane6 has complied with Hasbro's request, removing all content from their site.
Mane 6 has responded to Hasbro's letter saying, "We have attempted negotiating with Hasbro for the continued use of the property in our non-profit, voluntary project, but so far we haven't received an answer."
There is one Hasbro approved My Little Pony game that you can play for
iOS. We spoke to producer Barnabé Anglade about it, and you can read the

And nothing was lost...
Seriously, Bronies are getting a bit too enthusiastic with their efforts at this point. It's one thing to be a fan of something, but you don't see me turning every character on the planet into a Tron, Dead Space, or Jedi version of itself.
I know you can find an early .rar file to play with if you Youtube it, or comb the net well.
why havent I heard about this before?
Just reskin it an call it Unicorn Magic Mayhem or something like that.
haha what losers
Looking back after cooling down from the crapstorm on Equestria Daily I think they would've avoided this if they didn't enter the game at EVO 13. I'm pretty sure thats what caused the C@D letter.
capcom vs my little pony lol
This looked so promising too. Well I mean it is hasbro's property. I guess you can't just use it without their permission, but it's not like it was a profit bed thing. A free browser fighting game would have been awesome. Oh well.
a shame, the game was really shaping up to be something good. luckily lauren faust has offered to create original characters for the game so it may be finally released without the use of hasbro copyrighted material.
Wow. Those combos look like the most annoying thing I've ever seen in a game.
its sad when hasbro shuts down a fan project because it actually looks good. not like that crappy iOS app they have
Good thing we have M.U.G.E.N. still!
Really bad news was a really good game
WTF this is a fan made project that is NON PROFIT. I am now sad. :(
