The lights are on
One-time Wii U exclusive Rayman Legends was delayed yesterday to reportedly make the game a multi-console release. Some fans didn’t like the decision, and Ubisoft announced via its Facebook page that Wii U owners will receive an exclusive demo.
No date is set for when the demo will hit, but many of the comments on the post are from upset gamers, with many of them unhappy with receiving a new demo.
Earlier today an anonymous developer wrote on a Spanish-language forum that the team was working overtime in order to make the February release before being told of the seven-month delay.
Game Informer editor Kyle Hilliard also expressed his disappointment with the delay, commenting that it will hurt the console’s health.
if a 3d mario hits in the same month they are fukd...lol
That's really not satisfactory. The game was poised to come out in scant weeks, and now there's suddenly a massive delay that, for Wii U owners at least, is completely pointless.
Ubisoft should release the Wii U version of Rayman Legends on February 26, then release the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 version of Rayman Legends on September instead of a worthless exclusive Wii U demo.
Bad form Ubi... bad form.
Lego City: Undercover becoming multi-console makes more sense, since Lego games usually are available for every system. A game used to help sell a system, NO. I'm not a Rayman person, but I feel bad for the Wii U owners who pre-ordered this only to get sandbagged. I see it like Uncharted getting ported: Why???
Demo doesn't mean anything. We'll only get to use it 30 times. At least they have like seven months to polish the game, right?
