  • Only award I don't agree with here was fighting game of the year. I know there weren't that many of them last year, but I can't think of Playstation All-Stars as being the top of that category. Otherwise, a lot of fine choices.
  • If only i had a PS3 to play Journey on. Seems like the type of thing i would be into.

Also idk if it qualifies b.c it technically didn't debut in 2012 but I would give RPG of the year to The Witcher 2 Enhanced Edition.
  • Well deserved, glad to see tgc get the recognition. It's amazing how well a game like Journey has done.

  • Several Great Choices for the D.I.C.E Awards. I am glad ThatGameCompany has been so widely recognized as of late. I can't wait to see what they will make next.

  • I honestly didn't like Journey it was too simplistic and too pretentious. imo it deserved art direction and original music composition but nothing else. Also I'm not a troll please dont hate
  • I still do not agree that Mass Effect 3 was the RPG of the year last year. I'm sorry....but Xenoblade is getting robbed!
  • I loved watching all the people on Youtube freaking out about Journey winning, then I come here and see everyone happy about it... shows the difference in demographics between the two mediums, I suppose.
  • Woohoo! Glad to see Walking Dead get some love. I wish I could play Journey but I don't have a PS3 :/

  • As much as I'm glad to see Journey prosper so well, I'm also disappointed. In a way, it seems we had even less high/good quality games, otherwise the awards list would have been overflowing with different titles.
  • I believe it was the publisher for Journey that had the best point all night, saying that there is merit when producers let their devs do what they do best, instead of being morons and bogging them down with business S**t. I'm looking at you EA/Activision.

  • Lol, are we going to have all those people who hate All-Stars, because it's a "clone" of SSB, start raging here for actually winning something?

Journey was absolutely phenomenal and well-deserving of all these.
  • Journey is one of those gaming experiences that I will never forget.

  • I object to lumping RPGs and MMO's together like that.
  • I'll agree with most of those. Journey was probably my game of the year. It was so unique! It was just a breath of fresh air to see something so amazing.

The industry needs more Journeys, too much stagnation. Innovation is necessary!

  • Great to see Journey win so many awards, congrats TGC! It's also nice to see Sticker Star as Handheld GOTY.
  • Alternate name for this list: Most hyped games of last year. Borderlands 2 was good, of course, but to me the fun died down much quicker than it did in the first game. Bought the season pass, and still have only played through the main story once and the first DLC pack, just can't seem to find the drive to keep going. Also, where's the love for Far Cry 3? Not enough attention because 2 flopped or what? And Sleeping Dogs?
  • All those games blow, Tekken Tag Tournament 2 over any of them any day of the week...and to anyone who responds that is only my opinion...NO SH!T SHERLOCK
  • To think I hadn't even heard of this game that won so many awards. Also puzzled that neither Far Cry 3 or Dishonored got any awards.
  • Yeah Journey doesn't really deserve any of these awards except art direction.
  • Journey was great, but not GOTY for me, not even in my top 5. I would have given it to Assassin's Creed III, that game blew me away, amazing game.
