The lights are on
FarmVille, the addictive farming simulation game, is moving on to bigger pastures...on the small screen.
Today it was announced that Brett Ratner, producer to TV series such as Prison Break and 21, has signed on with Six Eleven Media to produce an animated series based off the social media game. Who said farming couldn't be entertaining?
No specific details have been released yet on how they plan to create a plot based off a farming sim, and no network has been attached to the project.
Ratner just wrapped up directing the new Dwayne Johnson movie, entitled Hercules: The Thracian Wars, so this is a huge departure from what we've seen him do.
But with a sequel releasing just last fall and now a TV show potentially on the horizon, Farmville is hardly slowing down.
Do you think this is a risky venture? Would you watch just to see how it pans out?

Wat.
wtf what?
Quick honey, a new episode of the Farmville is on!
I'm gonna' get a gun...
Now I know why I stopped watching television. Disney stopped being good, Cartoon Network=/=cartoons, and this stuff.
Uuuggghhh. . .
This will inevitably fail. Either that, or it will infect the minds of our youth, forcing them to play crappy Facebook games all day. I fear for the future.
this is too funny
I don't know... I feel like all these casual games (not using casual in a 'hating' way, just saying) that get picked up for movies and TV shows, like Angry Birds and this, will never actually happen. We hear they've been picked up, and then that's all we hear. So, I don't think this will happen *knock on wood*
I thought this was a story out of the Onion, but sadly it's real =-/
What?...
Dios, por que?
no... No. NO. NO! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MAKE IT DIE! KILL IT WITH FIRE, NO, A RAGING INFERNO OF SWIRLING FIERY DEATH! KILL IT NOW!
