Gears Of War: Judgment Goes Gold

According to the official Gears of War: Judgment Facebook page, the game has gone gold and will soon be ready for consumer consumption! Seen above is the development staff celebrating their victory.

For those unfamiliar with the term, going gold basically means the game is ready for mass printing. It means all the development on the game is complete, and now they just need to place it on a couple hundred-thousand discs.

Gears of War: Judgment releases March 19, for Xbox 360.

From the trailer we saw back in January with Baird's commentary, I'm super pumped for this game! It looks like a bundle of fun, especially since I'm 2nd player (Guess who's the Cole Train, baby!) usually. Can't wait to get this game, sadly too much is coming out too soon and my money is struggling to keep up D:

Sad to say, Epic isn't getting my money on this one. If I do buy it, I'll buy it used from Game Stop when it's $30 or less. They're straying too far from the Gears formula. - No DBNO (Down But Not Out) - No Locust in multiplayer (besides OverRun) - No non-respawn gametypes like Execution or Warzone - No Horde - Retro Lancer and Sawed Off are still here - Only 1 starting weapon Campaign looks cool, but they are butchering the multiplayer.

I advise people anxious to play the multiplayer to wait a week or two after release. I don't think there's been a Gears game that hasn't gone through a massive weapon/map reworking.
