The lights are on
We already know that Capcom is making an HD version of its fantastic 3DS title, Resident Evil: Revelations, for 360, PS3, and PC. Producer of Konami’s Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate says a similar treatment would be possible for MercurySteam’s upcoming 3DS game.
"We want as many people to play it as possible,” Cox said in a conversation with CVG. “Obviously we have an exclusivity deal with Nintendo right now though and they've been very supportive of the product."
Cox goes on to explain that an HD version wouldn’t be very difficult to make, because everything was originally constructed in high definition before being downscaled to the 3DS.
“At MercurySteam we have an HD version of the game sitting there in a computer somewhere,” says Cox.
I’ve played a good deal of Mirror of Fate and am happy with the game so far. Hopefully the final product holds up, and Konami finds enough success to make this hypothetical HD version a reality.

I'm sure the 3DS is great, but I never found myself as a portable video game player (had only a GBA, but few games), so I would love to play it on a console!

Wow, this is a bit premature. Why not wait until the game has more time on the market before talking about an HD remake?

it's stupid to make that statement this early. So you're saying if the 3DS version doesn't sell as well, you guys are gonna port it to console? NOW it's not gonna sell as well, because some people might not spend 40 dollars on this game when a superior HD console version is right around the corner. very stupid of you Konami, this is irritating.
That would be pretty awesome if they released an HD version. I have been playing the first Lords of Shadow game, and it is fantastic! I would buy the hd version day 1.

If they do make an HD port, I predict that it will come out on everything except the Vita. Because reasons.
If they really really wanted to move more units, they would've originally made it for the big consoles. I have every single portable castlevania since the GB days and I love all of them, but this one has me thinking that it would've looked better on a big tv
I'm really sick of seeing every game just being ported everywhere.
If this keeps up, no console will have any value except for Nintendo's because they have easily the strongest 1st party line-up of any console maker.
