The lights are on
Fire Emblem fans have it tough. The series took its sweet time coming stateside, and even as Japan receives new entries in the series, we can never be certain which will arrive here. So it's understandable why fans would be upset by the Fire Emblem: Awakening's delay, reported yesterday. Nintendo has supplied an official comment, assuring gamers that the game is on the way and is available digitally.
"Nintendo makes every effort to make sure its games and systems are available at retail stores nationwide on launch day," said a representative via e-mail. "Sometimes, because of the variables of shipping, different retailers receive their shipments on different days. Fire Emblem: Awakening can be purchased right now from the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS."
If you're wondering why folks are so impatient to play the game, read Kim's glowing review and you'll understand.

Pre ordered mine off of GameStop.com, one day shipping. They gave me a tracking number last night, it's on track for today. Knowing that, I'd guess most GameStop stores should get it in today's shipment.
It sounds like Nintendo is delaying the game to test out digital sales? I mean, they basically ignored the situation with their comment there - just pointed people to the eShop. Weird.
At any rate, NO GAME comes out on a Monday. I don't get why people are freaked out that. Tuesday is the standard date... Nintendo occasionally goes on Sunday to be weird. But nothing ever comes on a monday. Just be patient. Or go the eShop route (which requires patience anyway; that won't download fast...)
Patience everybody. Play some XCOM or Valkyria Chronicles in the meantime; strengthen those strategy muscles...
Went to 5 stores including Gamestop yesterday to look for it and had no luck. Clerks either said they didn't have it or that they only had a handful of copies...like 3 Pissed me off so bad :c
Downloaded it, couldn't take the wait anymore... This is a good freaking game :D
So I went in to my Gamestop where I had pre-ordered after calling ahead to see that it was in. They had never called me that it was in like they usually do. The guy there said that they were shipped one less than their pre-order number, but I had gotten the last one. Then he tells me something I don't really believe about to more physical copies other than the pre-orders shipping because Nintendo was mad about Canada releasing the game early. I have no idea where he came up with that, but I got my game and art book so I'm cool. On the other hand I may hold off opening it for a few days until I see it in stock everywhere in case he was right and it becomes rare.
Any updates here. Im hoping Gstop will have in 2 morrow????
