The lights are on
Concrete answers have been ambiguous, but according to a few different retailers, Fire Emblem: Awakening has been delayed by a few days.
I called a few Best Buy and GameStop stores, some nearby, some far away, and most were reporting a small delay. The Best Buys I spoke to said the game probably wouldn't be available until Wednesday February 6, and the GameStops said the game may not be available until Friday, February 8 due to shipping errors. Amazon also has a notice on its Fire Emblem: Awakening page that reads, "Potential Shipping Delay: Delivery of Fire Emblem: Awakening pre-orders may be affected by manufacturer shipping delays. Amazon apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause."
I sent an e-mail to Nintendo representatives for further confirmation, and will update the story if I hear back.
If you have the game reserved, or were planning on picking it up tomorrow, I would suggest calling ahead and confirming a release date if possible.
To live vicariously through us since you might have to wait a little bit longer for Fire Emblem: Awakening, you can watch us play the game in a recent Test Chamber, or read our review here.

Good thing I decided to download it off the eShop instead of pre-ordering it.
That's unfortunate considering the high rating it got on here. There are going to be a lot of angry Fire Emblem players.
Not upset at all because I will still eventually get my game. Where I work they did confirm to us that it will not be in until at least the 8th.
about a week eh. just enough time to finish some of my games.
You can start downloading now on the eShop :D
NOOOO!!!! I was just about to go to Gamestop and buy it!!!
It's my game and I need it now! lol
I picked up Ni No Kuni this weekend anyway so I will be playing that until it comes in I guess. I still wanted to get my hands on this today, and bust it out as I have heard nothing but great things about it. I mean, it's getting almost perfect scores everywhere.
I would also like to thank Kyle for this article because I probably would've drove 25 miles (which is where my nearest gamestop is), and not been able to get this.
So... digital copies are still go?
No!! NO!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Damn. Oh well i can wait. Loved the demo.
Yep, woke up this morning, ready to head up to GameStop with my friend. He sends me a text saying this game is a myth. I figured it was something like this. I'll have to call up there and see when they expect to get it in.
Well this story just depresses me.
