The lights are on
The website aliennoire.com was uncovered by NeoGAF, and it looks like it may be associated with the not-cancelled, but fate undetermined Prey 2.
Along with this posting on NeoGAF pointing to the site, user EatChildren also posted a screenshot of the page's source code that featured the words Prey 2, Bethesda Softworks, and Hothead Studios. The source code has either been changed since the screenshot was taken, or the screenshot featured on NeoGAF has been fabricated, because it no longer features any of these references. One piece of evidence that is present on the page's source code, however, is the phrase, "Tommy needs your help." Tommy was the name of the protagonist from the original Prey, and was confirmed to be part of Prey 2.
Looking at the site's whois.com registration details, reveals that the site was registered in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, which is close to the Cherokee Tribal Administration. Tommy is of Cherokee descent, and his family history is a major component of the original Prey.
The countdown will end on Friday, March 1, so presumably we will find out then if this is something legitimate, or something fan created on that date.

I hope this is true. The first game was awesome and what I've seen of the sequel looks great. Looks like they're adding a lot of "personality" if that makes sense.
What a relief this would be if this were to turn out to be the real thing. I've been desiring more info on Prey 2 ever since last year when I went back and played the original Prey.
Hope it is Prey 2, because it looked fantastic.
o man i hope this is legit, i was really excited for prey 2 when they announced it! but havent heard *** all since then
I've been wanting to play this when I first saw it. It looked like such a great game... I want it to be true!
I hope it's real. I loved the first Prey andcPrey 2 looked amazing. I still have it reserved at GameStop and its not even in there system anymore lol
I can't even remember when this was announced for the first time.
It'd better be.
Hopefully this is real and Prey is still scheduled to come out, I'd hate to see such an ambitious and intriguing game like this get cancelled.
It wouldn't be too far fetched to assume the top lettering says "Prey". The "P" and the "R" are a little abstract, but the "E" and the "Y" are very prominent.
They need to finish that game.
"Hothead Studios" Seems appropriate.
I hope this means Prey 2 is going to be released! The concept behind the game looked awesome. I wouldn't be surprised if it end up appearing on next-gen consoles.
