The lights are on
On Wednesday this week, Gabe Newell spoke at the LBJ School of Public Affairs, and the school has released the video feed of his presentation.
Newell talks about his days at Microsoft, why Valve is structured the way it is, and how the internet has impacted the nature of doing business.
The video lasts about an hour, but Newell is intelligent, articulate, and successful, which means that pretty much every minute is interesting.
Email the author Joe Juba, or follow on Twitter, Facebook, and Game Informer.
I like this guy, he just makes sense.
Man, Gabe just looked bored as hell when he was getting introduced, lol.
GabeN FTW. Second to Miyamoto and tied with Kojima in my book.
the video player wont load for me D:
I love Gabe, this guy is an inspiration along with his creations
Beauty in an unorthodox form.
Theres something about Gabe I respect immensely. whether its his ever present determination to forge his own path along with the rest of valve software or their never ending ultimate creative freedom, something about them makes me proud.
Looking at the above comments it seems I am the only one who dislikes Gabe.
i think i have alot more respect for gabe/vavle than i did before after watching this . thats not to say i didn't have any before , just more now, he really makes lot of sense
Team Gaben all the way.
