The lights are on
No, you haven't jumped several years into the future. Electronic Arts has revealed that the next installment of Madden is ditching the calendar year in the name, opting instead to call attention to the series' 25th anniversary. This confirms earlier reports to the same effect.
According to EA's press release, Madden NFL 25 will launch on August 27, and fans will once again be able to vote on the cover athlete starting March 11. If you want more details about how the game plays and how it will celebrate its heritage through various features, you're out of luck. For the time being, the name change and release date are all EA is putting forward in terms of concrete info.
What do you think about the name? What changes are you hoping to see in this installment?

this is probably one of those installments where did they include an older version of the game from the franchise, Madden 2005.
As long as it's a madden game and it's on the wii u I don't care.
Cant wait for all the fun confusion this will bring if the calender year is still used after this one and up until the actual Madden '25. But what are the odds they'll do that...right?
Can we get some contextual commentary in Madden like in the NBA 2K series? Nantz and Simms are an upgrade over the terrible commentary in previous maddens ('11 and '12), but having season by season commentary would be good. Also, bring back fantasy drafts in offline CCM and bring back defensive assignments so I don't have Calvin Johnson manned up on my LB in 4 wide sets
Not confusing
Nobody gives a crap about Madden FB right now. Anyway i am sure it will be the same as always just updated Rosters.....
I really want to see them allow you to change the players positions. I understand why they had to lock it and not allow you to move certain people (because the issues with contract negotiations) but I simply want to take a young right guard and move him to center and you aren't able to. That would be a huge fix. Other things I want to see is the ability to export and import draft classes from the NCAA football games as well.
