The lights are on
Xbox is presenting a universal Call of Duty: Black Ops II Championship in Hollywood, CA, on April 5-7. Thirty-two of the world’s leading multiplayer teams will be competing for a $1 million purse and the title of best Call of Duty multiplayer team in the world. The Xbox 360 competition will stream live to a global viewing audience.
If you interested in competing in the tournament, you can sign up on the Call of Duty website and create a free Elite account. Teams of four can battle for the chance to be a part of the Call of Duty Championship by participating in the February season of League Play in Call of Duty: Black Ops II on Xbox Live. At the end of the February season, the top eight competitive teams will be rounded up to move on to the Championship.
“From the very beginning of development for Call of Duty: Black Ops II, we committed to making eSports an integral part of the game, and it’s going to be awesome to watch the best teams in the world battle it out for everyone to see,” says Mark Lamia, Treyarch studio head.
Further details can be followed at the Call of Duty eSports website, Call of Duty Facebook page, or Treyarch Twitter page.
Well, any excuse for Call of Duty fans to play their brains out even more. Not that a million $ wouldn't be pretty nice. . .
that is so cool, but im not very good at COD multiplayer. GRENADE! "what-were- i don't see a grenade " shows me standing on the grenade in kill cam.
lets do this..
I wonder how many twelve year olds will be turned down.
Impressive amount of money to win there...
just might throw my hat in the ring. why not :P
It's not a $1 million purse, it's a $1 million satchel.
Of course, another xbox/COD team up.
Only if I had a good team and a ride.
and we see 12 year olds competing.
a fps tournament with a controller and aim assist? really?
