The lights are on
Grand Theft Auto V will be coming out in 2013, but just a bit later than was originally expected.
Rockstar has announced that the game will be coming on September 17 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Although the game never had an official release date, it was expected to hit stores this spring.
The developer said in a statement:
"We know this is about four months later than originally planned and we know that this short delay will come as a disappointment to many of you, but, trust us, it will be worth the extra time. GTA V is a massively ambitious and complex game, and it simply needs a little more polish to be of the standard we and, more importantly, you require. To all Grand Theft Auto fans, please accept our apologies for the delay, and our promise that the entire team here is working very hard to make the game all it can be. We are doing all we can to help ensure it will meet if not exceed your expectations come September – we thank you for your support and patience."

I'm a bit glad it's not coming out in April or May, because now I'll have time to play Mass Effect 3 which I got for christmas. I was afraid I wouldn't get around to it because Rising comes out next month and then Bioshock Infinite the next.
wow.... KZ-Merc.. is going to be competing with GTA V... man... well.. i'll be getting both then lol.
I don't mind! As long as its polished and playable I can wait.
While the delays is a little shocking (for some odd reason), I know that Rockstar is working hard to make it the best product it can be. So, I am glad that they are not rushing to get it out.
Wow, I really wasn't expecting this much of a delay. Sorta disappointing; I was hoping to have another huge release for the spring before the typical summer drought. Now I'll have to fit this in with all the games released in the fall.
Surprise!
It's better to wait and get a full and less buggy game, I guess. I'm just happy R* didn't decide to rush it so we got it in Spring. I'm still really excited for it.
