The lights are on
Players will be able to take to the gridiron in Electronic Arts’ popular Madden series on August 27 of this year.
An image posted on the EA website hints that the title may feature a new name to celebrate the franchise’s 25th anniversary. EA usually titles its sports series with the last two numbers in a year, or the whole year, but the image on the site suggests that “Madden: 25 Years” could be the new title.

It'll be Madden 14 with a little 25 years celebration thing. That's what they did with 20 years, that's what they'll do with 25.
Madden made some pretty nice changes, so I believe I'll be picking this one up. TBH the last football game I bought was NFL 2K5...
I used to love the old NFL Gamebreaker games though.
I, after years and years of not buying Madden, decided to buy Madden 12. I still to this day kick myself over it! But i will not be fooled again into buying one of these horrible games.
:)
Madden: 25 Years? Not vey appealing...
I really like NFL and thus Madden is an obvious choice for my NFL game (get it every year), but I think if they are going this route for this year's edition, they better go big or go home. However, if 2K could ever somehow get the license again, I would switch in a heartbeat. RIP NFL2K5
Name change? >:
I might consider buying this game for my future Wii U sometime after it gets released. I've been wanting to get into Madden, but I skipped Madden NFL 13. For the name, I think it should be called Madden NFL '14: 25 Years. That seems like it would work nicely.
This is....interesting.
