A PlayStation Store update revealed pricing for Dead Space 3 microtransactions, and it’s caused a bit of a stir within the gaming community. Purchasing all of the optional content sets players back $41 – with used gamers having to pay $9.99 for an online pass.The series’ first installment also featured microtransactions for things such as weapon packs, so Dead Space 3 isn’t adventuring into new territory. The trend isn’t going away, and there are those who are on both sides of the debate as to whether or not it’s a good idea to charge for such items.
