The lights are on
"I think video games is a bigger problem than guns, because video games affect people," the senator from Tennessee told MSNBC in response to a question about proposed gun control legislation that would require universal background checks.
Words fail me.
Failing the ability to live in a world where viewpoints like this weren't part of the political mainstream, I'd settle for a world where people like Senator Alexander had legitimate, good-faith discussions with folks like Adam Sessler instead of grandstanding about how (to uncharitably paraphrase the Senator) guns don't kill people, video games kill people.
Hey now, I think he's on to something! If we ban video games, it'll cut down on the amount of people violently beaten to death with used copies of Barbie Horse Adventures every year!
Video games affect people by providing them with entertainment. Guns affect people by causing them harm. What is this man's point exactly???
Pretty sure they're going to start pointing the finger at McDonalds next. Big Macs really make me have the urge to shoot someone, you know?
Do you ever play Kingdom Hearts or Persona, Senator? Kingdom Hearts and Persona is about friendship and bond of people, and saving or bring the peace the world. Do you think is worse about friendship and bond of people, and also saving the world? Senator, what kind of person are you?
Yea, I have no viable comment for this. I really don't understand the government and this issue.
I'd say something these peoples continued stupidity, but I really don't need another migraine right now.
I'm sure the NRA is putting money in his bank account to say this
I love how people who have most likely never played a video game are the ones trying to ban them. It's completely ridiculous and the banning of video games would most likely harm the economy.
This game hubbub will all pass. Politicians, as always, have fingered a scapegoat to cover the money they are being given by the NRA and the gun manufacturing industry. Comic books, television, rock and roll, and that demon rum have all been accused of ushering in the demise of democracy and Western civilization. Let the blowhards lie - it's what they do. They'll find something else to amuse themselves and disguise their inaction and impotence eventually.
Let's jump on the bandwagon some more, shall we?
Guns affected the 20 children that were murdered.
