They are making a movie?

"Moon" is one of -the- best science fiction movies I've ever seen. Truly a masterpiece. To me, this is a very solid choice as Duncan Jones is a proven, successful director. It's the idea of a World of Warcraft movie that I find unappealing; the game is tailored for a wide audience, and each players's experience varies with taste, expectations, choices, encounters. There are just too many variables here, and producing a film to cater to this same audience will be very difficult, in my humble opinion.

Men, dwarfs, gnomes and elves, fighting a massive battle on screen with epic music playing in the bg with awesome cgi. Who else is going to have a hard time NOT comparing this movie to LOTR when they're watching it? Should have just made a completely CGI animated film. Blizz has amazing production values when it comes to game intros and trailers.

why not just make it cg, i mean the openings for the games are breathtaking themselves

I've heard off and on over the years about this movie and all I have to say is it better be really damn good, considering how long they've been talking about making it.

How come Moon was so awesome and Source Code was so stupid? This worries me.

Since movies based on video games pretty much suck, I'm going to have to but my money on this movie really sucking.

I have to wonder what they're going to center the plot around. Killing twenty bears is boring enough when you're the one doing it. Personally, I'd like to see them base the movie on the WotLK plot line. I always felt like the whole thing never got the attention and emotional investment it deserved.

Please have them do Arthas's story. That would make a good movie.

A Video game movie? These are ALWAYS GOOD. Nobody ever made a bad movie based on a game EVER.

Maybe they'll have this guy direct and have blizzard's team producing all the CGI.  It could just be a animation or CGI movie.  If its live action, i'm not sure how good it will be.  If its anything like the LOTR movies, i'm sure it will do well.

I can't wait to not see this movie! So many great video game stories they could make into a movie and they go with this. I shouldn't be surprised when this is the same world where things like Deadwood end in their prime and jersey shore stays on tv forever.

I feel Peter Jackson should direct the movie, yea LOTR is a little dull now but he knows what he's doing when it comes to awesome battle scenes, even District 9 was awesome with its fighting scenes. Having the directer Duncan Jones who has never done a fantasy movie seems like a long run but he's well known so I feel he won't make the movie that terrible.

Hopefully the movie will start with the story of The Kirin Tor and focus on Rhonin and Veressa and the crusade to free Alexstrasza.

Warcraft Lore is so huge it would have to be multiple movies to work in all the factions involved.

Hopefully Jones can do Warcraft some justice on the Big Screen.
