The lights are on
The World of Warcraft movie has a new director, and he's got a good track record. Duncan Jones will be following up his first two movies, Source Code and Moon, with World of Warcraft.
The last time we heard any news about the World of Warcraft film was when we heard Spider-Man and Evil Dead director Sam Raimi had left the project to work on the upcoming Oz: The Great and Powerful. Jones has so far made his name directing science fiction films, so this will be his first endeavor outside into the fantasy genre.

They are making a movie?
Intriguing...
I've heard off and on over the years about this movie and all I have to say is it better be really damn good, considering how long they've been talking about making it.
Since movies based on video games pretty much suck, I'm going to have to but my money on this movie really sucking.
Maybe they'll have this guy direct and have blizzard's team producing all the CGI. It could just be a animation or CGI movie. If its live action, i'm not sure how good it will be. If its anything like the LOTR movies, i'm sure it will do well.
I can't wait to not see this movie! So many great video game stories they could make into a movie and they go with this. I shouldn't be surprised when this is the same world where things like Deadwood end in their prime and jersey shore stays on tv forever.
Hopefully the movie will start with the story of The Kirin Tor and focus on Rhonin and Veressa and the crusade to free Alexstrasza.
Warcraft Lore is so huge it would have to be multiple movies to work in all the factions involved.
Hopefully Jones can do Warcraft some justice on the Big Screen.
