The lights are on
Insomniac's upcoming PS3/360 sci-fi shooter has been pushed back deeper into the Spring.
EA CFO Blake Jorgensen dropped the news during EA's earnings call earlier today. "We've decided to move the launch of Fuse to Q1 of fiscal 2014," Jorgensen said. For those readers who don't speak fluent Corporate, that means the three-month window of April-June of 2013.
Though the delay isn't a terribly dramatic departure from Fuse's original March release date, Insomniac no doubt appreciates the extra time to get it ready for primetime.

I am still interested in the game, and I am glad they are delaying it so Insomniac has more time to develop it.
I hope the story is pretty good. I am looking forward to the game.
Give them extra time to make it the best it can be, that's fine.
I am not selling the game short even though I preferred the initial concept of Overstrike more. As far as the push goes, it works better for me with all the early 2013 releases already coming.
No big really. Just means that they're fine-tuning some stuff, and that's always better than a glitchy product.
It looks like a mix between Xcom and Call of Duty; more the latter than the former, unfortunately. Kinda wish the opposite was true. I'm willing to give this game a shot, but I doubt it'll be much more than a few bright spots of gameplay amongst a tired entourage of bullets, carchases and cursewords.
Probably for the best. The game isn't very hyped as it is, and releasing it in the same month as Tomb Raider, Ascension, and Bioshock wouldn't have helped.
I'm still split on this game... I've never played a bad Insomniac game, but this just looks so generic, especially since the name change. I'll probably end up renting it, depending on the reception.
EA delayed a game? Yahoo!
I might buy this if my friends do, but I don't think I'll get it
Eh, that's not too long for us to have to wait. More development time (hopefully) means less bugs.
I'll be surprised if this comes out at all good. I got excited for it when it was first announced and it had great style. Then they squeezed the style out of it...now it's getting delayed...All the warning signs that it's going to come out as a mediocre-at-best product. Real bummer, because I adore Insomniac.
I ain't even mad bro. The old style of the game seemed much more original, but now that it's like this, I probably won't get it, I have enough DUDECHECKOUTHOWAWESOMEMYGUNIS games
I'm curious to see what this delay will do for the game.
This is that game that looked super creative and then all of a sudden changed to looking super generic. Right?
Oh joy.
I was excited for Overstrike. When they got rid of the old art style, I gave up on any plans to even think about buying it. I'll still keep an eye on it, but I doubt it can top the original concept.
