The lights are on
A PlayStation Store update revealed pricing for Dead Space 3 microtransactions, and it’s caused a bit of a stir within the gaming community. Purchasing all of the optional content sets players back $41 – with used gamers having to pay $9.99 for an online pass. The series’ first installment also featured microtransactions for things such as weapon packs, so Dead Space 3 isn’t adventuring into new territory. The trend isn’t going away, and there are those who are on both sides of the debate as to whether or not it’s a good idea to charge for such items. What’s your take on microtransactions in Dead Space 3? Will you purchase and download the content to enrich your experience, or are you against purchasing extra items like horse armor, extra player levels in role-playing games, and now Dead Space 3 guns and bot personalities?Let us know in the comments below!

If it's optional, which it is, I don't care. Somebody out there will like being able to buy all those extra things, so more power to them, it's not my place to say they shouldn't have that.
If EA wants them in the game then they can put them in the game. I'm not particular happy about it, but it doesn't mean I have to buy anything.
No big deal, they are also in the first two Dead Space games. You don't need to buy that stuff, anyway.
Yeah I have no problem with this. Extra content is always welcome. Of course I will be making sure I love this game before investing more money into it. All in all it should be a fun addition to a potetentially great game.
I don't mind microtransactions.
I'm pretty sure Dead Space 1 and 2 had weapon packs like this as well.
It didn't bother me in the first Dead Space (which is a PHENOMENAL game and the best in the franchise so far), so it's not going to bother me in this game at all.
They're there as an option. The game can still be enjoyed in its fullest without paying these micro transactions.
