Beyond Good and Eveil HD, I missed out on the game when it came out and it was one opf the first, if not the first DLG I bought from XBLA and I played t through at least 3 times. The world and characters were all so neat and unique...and music kicked butt too.
Honestly, I think my favorite has to be Minecraft: Xbox 360 edition. I mean, CoD and Halo are fun; but every once in a while, it's just great to hang out and build. Good luck to all of you who entered!
Hmmmmmm........ My favorite is....No... No... No....
"goes to look at digital game collection"
Gotta say Minecraft man, Minecraft.
I Am Alive. Because the entire time I was playing the game, it created exactly the feeling it was striving for -- near-hopelessness -- due entirely to the setting and washed-out color scheme.
Brilliant design, mostly carried through with great success (excepting the ending, if you could call it that, which was weird and rushed).
My favorite downloadable title of this generation is the Walking Dead...It had emotion, a compelling story, fabulous characters, beautiful atmosphere, engaging gameplay, and zombies. What more could you ask for!
I have to go with Super Meat Boy. It's one of those games where you can tell a lot of thought was put into every single aspect. The controls are the best in any video game I've ever played, the music is catchy and matches the settings of the levels, and the near instantaneous respawn keeps me from throwing things in a fit of rage. It maintains a great balance between appearing to be soul-crushingly hard, yet at the same time (usually) manageable with enough practice.
My absolute favorite would have to be Journey, but The Walking Series by Telltale really captured my heart as well.
I really loved the atmosphere of limbo. I had never played a game like that.
Mine would have to be The Walking Dead as well, There were some other close contenders (Castle Crashers, Dust an Elesyian Tale, Etc.) More than I can mention. But the characters and story for the Walking Dead made me want to keep playing, and also got my wife hooked on watching to see how it would end.
My favorite downloadable game would have to go to Super Meat Boy for its super rewarding difficulty curve and numerous easter eggs and throwbacks. I've put in over 35 hours to get the full 100%, and have died more than 13,000 times in the process. To this day, it is still one of my proudest gaming achievements to have beaten it completely, Kid and Cotton Alley and everything.
My favorite is Limbo. The creepy black and white aesthetic really drew me to the game, and it was the lonely atmosphere created by the visuals and minimalistic audio that really made me fall in love with it.
Trials evolution the amount of levels are awesome
Tomb Raider and the Guardian of Light. The gameplay was super fun and I loved how the puzzles changed when you played multiplayer. I can't believe a sequel was never made, considering all the praise it got. I thought it was fairly successful financially, too.
I really like trials EVO and Trials HD simple gameplay mechanics, AWESOME leaderboard integration and TONS of FUN
Easily Braid, one of the most complex, time consuming, and intriguing games to ever grace my Xbox.
Favorite downladable? Many people would probably say Minecraft:Xbox, but I rather choose such titles as Limbo, From Dust, or Plants Vs. Zombies are all such enjoyable games.
Mark of the Ninja
