Crytek Releases New Warface Trailer

A new trailer released today for Warface to celebrate the game’s closed beta going live. It shows off developer Crytek’s (creators of the original Far Cry and Crysis games) new online first-person shooter, revealing slick graphics, different locations, and many a bullet.

The PC game is set to release in Spring 2013. Players interested in registering for the beta can do so at Warface’s site.

    Free to Play just pushes me away. Blacklight Retribution was good, but it get's to the point where you need to pay money to be as good as everyone else.

    Well.. the future of F2P looks like a pretty basic clone of CoD. Reports from people I know from within the beta have been similar, and there's a very freemium based style of F2P going on in its market. So, turns out Crytek decided that since it was going F2P, even its pretty low standards (I'm looking at you, Crysis 2 with hacked MP, forced MP DLC, and a rather linear campaign) to rock bottom. At least we've got things like Deadlight, Neverwinter, Tribes: Ascend, and Warframe to keep people entertained without trying to gouge their pockets.

    Impressive graphics, terrible name. Despite that, this is the first free-to-play game I've actually been excited for.

    I love Crytek's work. They always make fantastic games. Gorgeous game at that.

    This looks alright. I hope it's got good customizability and isn't shoving pay-to-win stuff down your throat.

    As much as I like seeing this game, I don't like pay-to-win...I mean uhh free-to-play games.  I'd prefer everyone buy the game and have the same chance of winning.  I'm done with f2p except for those with paid content that is purely for aesthetics only, but those are rare.
