Watch Blitz Brigade's Announcement Trailer

Gameloft has revealed Blitz Brigade, a new team-based shooter for iOS and Android. You can see what it's all about in this trailer. Or you can play Team Fortress 2 and Battlefield Heroes, which seem to have provided some heavy inspiration for the title.

Blitz Brigade is a free-to-play multiplayer shooter set during World War II focusing on cooperation between classes. It also features vehicles, as well as multiple modes and single-player challenges.

Gameloft did not announce a specific release date, but if previous patterns apply, it should be out in a few weeks.

  • cool-ish. not a huge fan of touch based complicated games. wish it was pc or virtual console

  • Wow, an original Gameloft idea!
  • Interesting and so very unique..I wonder how long it takes to get fired from Gameloft for making the mistake of excitedly telling everyone "Hey guess what?! I just came up with a completely original idea for our next game!"
  • It reminds me of TF2.

  • Looks like a terrible TF2. How do shooters even work on mobile?
  • Looks like TF2 meets Fieldrunners.

  • Might be pretty okay.

  • ooh nice

  • With the music and the cartoon graphics aproach, all that bloodsplatter is very misplaced...

  • It's obviously a TF2 clone

  • Thank god! It's been awhile since Gameloft ripped off some popular game for iOS/Android :) I was thinking, maybe they were in trouble or something? Good to know that all you have to do to stay in business is just rip off whatever's popular. Really, really often. Gonna be interesting if Gameloft becomes, like, the no.1 publisher for Ouya and Gamestick games this year though. If this plays remotely well with a controller, I'll play the **** out of this on an Ouya. I mean, it's not like the "real deal" (Team Fortress 2) is relevant on consoles anymore. Why can't Valve just bring the updated version of TF2 to XBLA/PSN/eShop? It's ridiculous that console gamers are stuck with the original release via the Orange Box. It's so old at this point!
  • holy cannoli, this looks so much like tf2

  • This looks awesome

  • This will be great on Ouya
