The lights are on
Taking on the role of an evil being and constructing a deathtrap for heroes isn't a new gaming concept, but that doesn't make it less entertaining. Impire taps into that formula.
Controlling a demon lord in an imp's body, players building a dungeon full of traps and monsters to ward off the advancing heroes who hope to halt the demon lord's return. Impire is being made at Cyanide Studios, and published by Paradox Interactive for PC. The trailer below looks promising; I hope the game is more entertaining than the developer's previous project.
For more on Impire, check out Paradox's site, which lists the game as a Q1 2013 release.

awesome. there as a game like this on angry joes' channel, but this game looks better, and the art direction is so much better. heres
hoping it makes it's way to consoles and handhelds.
Oh god I love the name so much. Stuff Paradox publishes is really hit and miss for me, but we'll see.
This game is very similar to the board game called Dungeon Lords, which is very difficult and fun!
I am interested. Can we have a preview any time soon?
Yes. Yes indeed.
Looks interesting. I will have to look into this when it does launch later this year.
