The lights are on
Half-Life originally came out for PCs back in 1998, but the game never released on Mac software even though its sequel did. Finally Mac owners can purchase the original Half-Life through Steam.
Could this recent release of the original Half-Life mean that Valve is prepping to announce Half-Life 3?
No, it probably doesn't mean that. Sorry. But Mac users should still go buy the game on Steam.

I still played and beat Half-Life on my mac years ago. I downloaded a port that somebody made and it worked wonderfully on my 2006 iMac
This better be Valve's version of Wind Waker HD, something to tie us over for a few years before the next game.
Lol, took a while did ya?
For the thirteen people who didn't find some way to play it via emulator or by getting to try on a friend's PC, I'm sure this is fantastic news.
Heh. I love my mac hardware, and since I can't take my PC desktop on the road with me, every new and old game that comes out for OSX or iOS is a welcome sight; Half-life 1, however, is way too old. I mean, if for some reason you're past puberty and haven't finished this game at least once, then by all means, go purchase it. Otherwise, this is irrelevant.
Took em long enough...
