Downton Abbey As A Super Nintendo Game

The prim-and-proper show Downton Abbey is pretty popular, and apparently it has begun working its restrained British magic on gamers. This video showcases what an SNES game adaptation of the show might have looked like.

I haven't seen Downton Abbey yet, but I'm going to assume that the video contains spoilers.

  • British Television!!
  • LOL, the MIDI music is perfect...my wife makes me watch this show. That is my story and I'm sticking to it.
  • Haha this is awesome.  My fiance has started watching this show so I linked her the video.  Love the chip tune soundtrack.

  • I love how you guys just make up whatever you want for the subheading. "British gamer culture"? Maybe, maybe not.

  • I say, this is simply marvelous! Do tell me: what with the resuscitation of the episodic adventure genre and whatnot, how likely is it in the professional opinion of the writer that this manner of video game might in fact be created? I do hope it is quite.

  • Downton Abbey is an ITV show, not a BBC show. We have more tv stations than just the BBC over here you know.
  • My mom is obsessed with that show, so maybe this is my chance to make her play a video game. She absolutely hate them.

  • I love this show and I would play this game. The only other show I'm powering through right now is Breaking Bad, if that gives you any indication.

  • Humour!

  • I haven't seen Downton Abbey either, so these references don't have much of an impact on me. However, an incredibly nice video. That's some real old school talent right there.

  • The game, Graphics-wise, looks a lot like the SNES Survival Horror Gem known as Clock Tower.
  • Haha, sweet.

  • I would play the hell out of this game..

  • Great show!
