Pakistan Bans Black Ops II And Medal Of Honor: Warfighter

The All Pakistan CD, DVD, Audio Cassette Traders and Manufacturers Association (or APCDACTAMA for fans of awful acronyms) has banned one of last year's most popular shooters. They also banned Medal of Honor: Warfighter.

It seems that APCDACTAMACABADA isn't fond of games that make Pakistan look bad.

"The problem is that there are things that are against Pakistan and they have included criticism of our army," said Saleem Memon, president of BANANARAMA. "They show the country in a very poor light."

In a statement directed to Fox News, the association continued. "These [games] have been developed against the country's national unity and sanctity. [They] have been developed against Pakistan, and the Association has completely banned their sale. Shopkeepers are warned and will be responsible for the consequences if found purchasing or selling these games."

Consequences for selling these two games may include jail time, community service, or having to play Medal of Honor: Warfighter.

    I love the fact that they think this was made against a country, I don't think they know that activision is a money who*e, and if it was against only 1 country, they wouldnt get enough money. Also I beat the game twice, and I never heard or saw the word pakistan,nor did any middle eastern country, BLOPs 2 was surprisingly good. Now if you want something that insults every country, ban medal of honor and mW3

    Doesn't sound well... But then again if they made a game like CoD against the US, maybe it wouldn't be banned, but nobody would play it.

    Why do you guys insult medal of honor warfighter constantly? it was a good game in my opinion, the campaign sucked yes we know but so did battlefield 3 and mw2 but those still got great reviews, i found the multiplayer to be quite enjoyable and in medal of honor i see multiple accounts of them actually giving kudos to the pakistani millitary.

    Is this real? Everything about this story sounds like it belongs in Game Infarcer. Also, nowhere in the source article does it mention BANANARAMA. I think Dan took a seemingly benign article and kinda trolled the hell out of it.
