Dante's White Hair Coming To North America Later This Month

We knew Dante's classic white hair and red jacket were coming to Japan as DLC, but now it looks like it is also coming to North America.

Joystiq is reporting that DmC Devil May Cry's first DLC pack, which includes three costumes, including the Devil May Cry 3 look seen above, will be available on January 30. The pack will be $3.

Hopefully this will appease some of the angrier fans.

  • I don't need it. I'm perfectly fine with the new look for Dante.
  • I want a Lady skin, too.
  • Lets write a petition because the red is a different shade. lol
  • i still think the new dante is way better, so i don't think i need this, the other skins you get look cool, but i don't feel like paying just for new skins
  • Maybe they won't petition the president over this one...
  • So white hair and less clothing? No thanks.
  • I am always astounded by people when they talk about Dante's look in DmC. It's not like old Dante was a beacon of stellar character design. He was a leather fetishist that would sometimes part his hair the other way and call himself Nero.

A better petition for this game would be make sure they cannot have a logo of the store you bought it from printed on the otherwise enjoyable box-art. I couldn't get mine from Gamestop, so I have Wal-Mart blazed along the front with a giant white and blue box.
  • Honestly I quit giving a crap and just enjoyed the hell out of the game. If this is honestly the only thing that kept people from playing it, then I feel sorry for them as a gamer. And another note, if you're even remotely on the fence then do yourself a favor and...GO PLAY THIS GAME!!!!

  • This is gonna make a lot of people happy.
  • I don't really care. The game is amazing

  • Well, guess it'll satisfy some folks.

  • And this, I believe, is exactly what's wrong with this generation of consoles. I'm not trying to sound like a hater or anything like that, but additional skins for real life money is just wrong. I know it's only 3 dollars and it's one of those "if you don't want it, don't get it" kind of things. But I'd love to use DMC3 Dante in the new game, I just absolutely refuse to pay for anything like this. Same things goes with avatar clothing and props on Xbox Live. Awesome as they may be, they're asking me for money for a product that is, essentially, worthless. Does anybody who knows how to look into a games code know if these skins are on disc already? Or is this actual, legitimate, downloadable content?
  • DmC is amazing. But I'll admit I do care about being able to play as classic Dante. It's just an iconic, easily identifiable look for him. The game moves so fast and a red and white silhouette is more appealing.

The colors don't make the man but it is what it is. How do you feel about Iron Man 3's different color scheme? The movie will still be awesome, but when you think of Iron Man you will always remember his default color scheme.

People growing up with Dante through 4 games, fighting game crossovers, Viewtiful Joe crossovers, loads of promotional art and an anime series are gonna associate Dante with a certain look. You don't need to go crazy one way or the other, but you also shouldn't label other longtime fans as crybabies if they are wanting his traditional look.
  • Atleast its only 3 bucks

  • To everyone crying about Dante's hair at the end of the game (SPOILER) his hair turns white. Happy?
  • The game was amazing, can't wait to go through it again with Dmc3 Dante

  • That is cool I guess but does anyone actually want that outfit in the lower left?

  • Doesn't look any less dumb than the first time I saw it.

  • New Dante looks even stupider with the white hair.

  • Well, in the game, Dante DID say, "Not in a million years."

I think they've got the absolute right to charge $3 for it. It's a skin that they designed and put some effort into making. And if someone out there is willing to buy it, that's all the justification.

Same thing with Dead Space 3's microtransactions. If people out there are going to use something like that, then it'd be financially stupid for them to not include it.
