The lights are on
Divekick may have started out as a parody of the genre, but it looks like some fighting fans are taking it plenty seriously.
The game has procured a publisher – Iron Galaxy Studios – and will come out on PS3, PC, and Vita this spring.
Divekick features two-button controls, an old-school look, and precision timing, and it received fanfare at the Ultimate Fighting Game Tournament 8 last year.
"Divekick is good at two things: teaching some of the basics of fighting game to players of any skill, and ending friendships," says One True Game Studios' Adam Heart. "I partnered with Iron Galaxy because I know they love these things as much as I do. They also gave me large burlap sacks filled with cash, which certainly didn’t hurt. This game was made by the community, for the community, to completely tear apart the community."

Looks like it could be a good game. This may be a reason to pull out my Vita for once.
This game is hilarious but still strategic
While this games humor may wear off quickly, there should be plenty of depth
So this is akin to that game where you slap someones hands before they move?
I fail to see how this is anything more than a joke. The trailer was far too long.
I just don't get it. I feel like I'm being trolled. But it's a real game? Aghhh.
great. the vita gets retarded crap like this instead of a port of RE Revelations. Way to go, sony.
This game has legit depth. It may seem like some simple game, but it's actually really simple, yet complex. It's all about mind games and spacing. Can't wait for it to be released!
It's intentionally lame, and could be fun. I just hope this game doesn't cost too much. I mean, this belongs in .99 cent app stores :P.
