The lights are on
If you don't want to have your credit card tied to your PSN account, you can now use PayPal to fill your PSN wallet full of cash.
PSNStores (a site not officially affiliated with Sony) has tweeted that this feature is now available in the U.S. – it has previously only been an option in Europe.
However, this can only be done by signing into your Sony account via a website, and not on the PS3.

Lol, I was talking to a friend about how it would be cool to have this for NA PSN players.
This is actually nice, because I have a lot of money in my Paypal from eBay sales but I spend the majority of my extra cash on the PSN. Now I can finally put that Paypal account to use!
About fricking time. The original payment plans suuuuuuck.
Greatest news in a long time. Love it. Love everything about it.
I still prefer the psn cards :D good news for paypal customers.
so thats why maintenance was taking forever the other night/day/night/day ?
Cool.
Ha, Thats sweet, this will be way nicer than having to buy cards or put in someones credit card.
Something to consider I guess. I've had a card tied to it since I picked up a PS3 in 07.
About time. To me, this was the most ridiculous part of psn, glad it's fixed.
Ouch, that kind of sucks. Guess it's good, though.
