Max Payne Deathmatch Made In Heaven DLC Announced

Rockstar Games has announced the final DLC pack for Max Payne 3, entitled "Deathmatch Made in Heaven."

While the company hasn't revealed many details on the DLC it will feature "new co-op and competitive modes, plus other awesome treats for Max Payne 3 multiplayer." The pack is scheduled to be released on January 22 for 800 Microsoft Points on Xbox Live and $9.99 on PlayStation Network. Those who bought the Rockstar Pass for the game will get the DLC as part of that purchase.

Rockstar says more details about the DLC pack will be forthcoming in the days to follow.

  • As a heads up to any 360 owners, the Rockstar pass for Max Payne 3 will be on sale next week.
  • I wish they had released some single player missions throughout the dlc lineup.
  • The more MP the merrier.
  • As great of a game as this is, I didn't think anyone still played the multiplayer.

  • For those who were interested in MP3's multiplayer, there are very little people still playing on the PC, and most people only play Team Deathmatch or Gang Wars. I bought it two steam sales ago, and was delighted with my purchase. I'm pretty happy that theyre still pumping out DLCs, albeit a last one. I may just jump back in when this releases.
  • If only they didn't reset my level to 1...

  • Its DLC that gives men wings.
  • I would rather have Story DLC's than multiplayer....I still think MP its horrible

  • I'd rather it be Bully 2, but whatever.
  • I don't know why I haven't played this game, but I never took it that the multiplayer was this popular, I mean do people actually still play it?
  • I got really addicted to this game's multiplayer last summer.  Only 7 levels to go until I hit the level cap, so maybe this will be a good excuse to jump back in!

  • This multiplayer got boring after the first week.

  • I'm truly surprised by this. I didn't think there would be enough of a demand for MP DLC for them to turn a profit. The MP suffers from so many balancing issues it could almost be called broken, but then again, DLC for MW2 made bank.

And no, I'm not an anti-COD fanboy. I've really enjoyed the MP of BO, BOII, and MW3. But the MP for MW2 was atrocious. Riddled with glitches, quickscoping was far too easy, broken spawns (domination on Highrise, anyone) and don't even get me started on the Commando perk.

  • Always nice to see a game I love getting support, even if I'm not in the position to play as much multiplayer as I would like.

  • Yay. Can't wait to play it.

  • I still need to play this...

    Ugh, too many games.

  • Too many games, who has time for this

  • Does anyone still play multiplayer for this game? It was fun and all, but it got boring way too fast.

  • Great MP. One of my all-time favourites. Every Chow Yun Fat movie made playable.

I for one am very excited for the prospect of Co-op, although I think it'd would've been better if it had come out-of-the-box, so to speak.

  • Nice sounds like a good excuse to get back into the MP of this game, if anyone still plays it on PS3.
