The lights are on
A new trademark filing by Bethesda Softworks suggests the possibility that the company is working on developing a TV series based on its Fallout RPG franchise.
In a posting on The Vault, writer Conor Murton noticed the filing with the United States Patent and Trademark Office, which seeks a trademark for "Fallout" for the purpose of "Entertainment services in the nature of an on-going television program set in a post-nuclear apocalyptic world."
Obviously, companies file trademarks all the time, even if they don't intend to develop properties for those trademarks, sometimes only to prevent other companies from infringing on their IPs. However, a Fallout TV show would definitely be an intriguing project.

Give this to HBO, get it the Game of Thrones treatment. Tell me you wouldn't watch the crap out of that.
Why do I get the feeling that this will turn out badly...
No, give me games
I am thinking "mini-series" here.
...T- T im so happy...
I imagine they should handle Fallout like The Walking Dead TV show. Make it graphic and primal. You could constantly try to lead a group of vault inhabitants around the outside world, gathering supplies, fighting thieves and killers, seeing familiar places such as Rivet City and Megaton, and battling the feral mutant hordes as well among other things. If it were handled correctly it could be amazing, however it could also be abysmal if not done properly with respect to the series.
It could make an amazing TV show, the factions also help provide drama and potential villains/allies.
Ain't that a kick in the head...
I wouldn't mind seeing a Fallout television series....as long as they do it right and respect the IP.
It could work, but they'd be better off playing it safe with just giving us more games. I think it's pointless for everybody to try to be the Walking Dead and have comics, TV shows, AND games all at the same time.
why don't they invest this time and money into making fallout 4?
i'd actually watch t.v. then.......well except for the walking dead and supernatural :)
I think it's a better idea than trying to do a movie. You don't have to go from 0 - 100 in two hours.
As much as I would love and most likely watch every episode if this became a realty, I would prefer to get a new fallout game.
They have an Elder Scrolls TV show and Oblivion movie also trademarked.
