Epic Mickey 2 Only Sold 270k Copies?
Disney revealed its new game Disney Infinity yesterday, which the company says is a key component of a larger multiyear gaming strategy. If reported sales figures of Epic Mickey 2 are accurate, that kind of change is something that Disney desperately needs.
The Los Angeles Times revealed the information in a story focused on Disney's larger games business. The writer cites an unnamed source with access to NPD data that says Junction Point's Epic Mickey 2 sold 270,000 copies in 2012 since its mid-November launch. To put that figure in perspective, the Wii-exclusive Epic Mickey sold 1.3 million copies in the same time frame back in 2010.
