The lights are on
Double Fine Productions' The Cave is releasing on PlayStation Network and Wii U's eShop on January 22, and on Steam and Xbox Live on January 23. The game will retail for $14.99.
The Cave is the latest game by Ron Gilbert, the creator of Maniac Mansion and the Monkey Island series. Players select a team of three unusual individuals from a group of seven, who must explore a mystical, sentient cave. The game combines platforming with puzzle mechanics, and has the humor from Gilbert's earlier work. Check out the latest trailer, and be sure to check back on January 22 for our review of the game.

Really want to play this game. Might get a Wii U and play it there. Also awesome way to show a release date.
This looks interesting...
Wonderful news and very out of the blue.
Nice!! This is pretty awesome.
Game looks good, but it's just not in the cards. I'm up to my neck in my gaming backlog as it is.
Woot, I wonder what it'll be like.
This will be a day one purchase for me. Plus, we get the Revengeance demo that day as well. January 22nd is stacking up to be a great day.
I was all set to get this for 800, but 1200? Eergh.
Figures. PS3 gets all the coolest things first.
Might be a fun little game.
Interesting timing of announcement, but I'm not complaining!
I'm pretty intrested in this one. If I do end up getting it, I'll be getting it on the Wii U.
I'm excited for this release, hopefully another Double Fine gem!
Looks good! Haven't heard of it before this article. I'm really digging all of the side scrolling platformers that have come out recently.
Can't wait.
