Street Fighter likely wouldn't play very well with a first person mode, but it's a fun experiment.

Brazilian animator Pipoca gives us his vision for a first person Street Fighter game. check it out below.

I am actually getting tired of the whole First-Person genre. Even though this was done for fun, I stiil think First-person genre is overrated.

I dunno....that was pretty cool. A first person fighting game would surely be interesting if it were done right. One thing I think would be neat is that something like this adds a whole new tactical facet to fighting. It would prevent button-mashers from doing endless jumping kicks or uppercuts for sure. Every move would have to be pretty well thought out. Even though the video wasn't made as a tech demo by a big budget studio, it doesn't mean that his idea is absurd. I'd play it. Give me an awesome story mode with lots of cool stuff to do besides the standard tourney ladder and I would be sold. It's always cool to see people trying to introduce ways to make their favorite games even better. Sometimes it seems the devs are too nervous about taking big risks so they opt to play it safe. This guy should definitely be commended for his effort and maybe Capcom should consider something like this...just don't base it on the live-action movie...please...
