Talented environmental artist Even Liaw has posted a series of images of a Pokémon Center he has created using the Unreal development engine.

Pokemon going HD is the only thing that would bring me back to the series. Nintendo's hand held systems have been the forerunner for a great number of amazing games while the Wii got a few AAA titles and a mountain of trash. Now with the Wii U it's time for Nintendo to grow up dump the crappy motion controllers focus on the tablet and pro controllers and start taking the amazing series's that have Dominated on DS and bring them to console.
It looks good, but it's never going to happen. Pokemon is a handheld series, it was designed that way and will stay that way. Because in Japan, people actually give a damn about handhelds and take them seriously. And if it was console, then it would be going against the reason the series is so great and was created in the first place.
These pictures look great regardless, and I approve of expressing your love for a series in this way. I'm just sick of people asking for Pokemon to go console.
Now pokemon can experience the magical healing powers of phong shading.

I would buy a Pokemon game like this. Less anime and more of a sense of "realism". It could be pretty awesome. The problem is Nintendo isn't know for shaking up the franchise like this and why would they? Black and White sold just as much as Red and Blue.
