Alien Breed Coming To PS3, Vita

Team 17 has announced it's bringing a new-and-improved version of its classic top-down shooter, Alien Breed, to PS3 and Vita.

The British developer broke the news on the official Alien Breed Facebook page, stating that the game will be available on PSN in early February. The new version of the game contains 30 levels and allows gamers to play with updated visuals or the original 16-bit Amiga graphics. Cross-platform play between PS3 and Vita is also offered, along with local and online co-op multiplayer, leaderboards, and trophies.

    awesome. if it does good maybe sony will bring back project overkill and loaded(and reloaded.)

    I got Alien Breed 2 for free during the one Steam Summer Sale that let you earn it for free. Worst top-down game I've ever played. So... forgive me if I'm doubtful of the quality of this game.

    Always wanted to check out the modern trilogy of this on PSN. I really love top-down shooters for some reason, so I'll maybe try to get this. But I just got Retro City Rampage on PSN, so I might just wait a bit to fully soak that one in.

    I'm a fan of the updated Trilogy.  It won't win any game of the year awards but it's like a top down, arcadey Dead Space.  They could have made it amazing though.

    Am I the only one who thinks it'd be kinda cool if they made a new quality Alien Syndrome for the Vita or something? I know the first was pretty lousy, but I thought its role-playing system was addicting.

    Sony needs too brink back its more reconizged franchises with respect.... Some of their PS2 classic releases were treated poorly IE Killzone, MOHA: Front Lines, and a few others come too mind, my point is Sony needs too do 3 things too get me back as a customer:

    1: Fix PSN so it's faster and more intuitive too use

    2: Get online version of PSN up and have better security for their servce

    3: Treat remakes, and reboots with better respect and stop trying to turn great ideas like Uncharted, and Resistance into Halo/Tomb Raider
