The lights are on
Firaxis, the developer behind XCOM: Enemy Unknown, announced this morning that its free Second Wave DLC is available right now for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.
The DLC adds post-campaign content that allows players to modify the game in a number of different ways. You can check out the full list of modifiers below:
Additionally, the full game is now available to download from the Xbox Live's Games on Demand marketplace, if you simply can't stand round plastic discs, but still want to play video games.
Email the author Kyle Hilliard, or follow on Twitter, Google+, Facebook, and Game Informer.
I'll make sure to download it.
YESSSSSSS! Now I just need a good internet...ugh.
Free dlc is always great.
Some of that sounds good the rest not so much
It doesn't seem to be on XBox, yet. =(
I'd go with the random rookie and level up stats, but.. most of the rest just seem like a bummer :p Oh, and I'd pick marathon to make my (given) ass beating take longer so I can, you know, enjoy it.
Plus, "Results Driven" seems a little backward to me. You'd think as countries start getting terrorized they'd pay out the patootie for any chance, any small shot to stop them, not pay less as things get crazier. Which reminds me: it was really cool how they did it in the first game(s), saying the countries removed their funding and kinda went over to the aliens' side. Just that little bit of text gave a lot of neat atmosphere. It was like their final act of desperation. "Maybe the aliens that have been sending huge flesh eating creators and little green-suit-wearing purple men after us aren't so bad?"
It seems most of these modifiers just make the game harder... I guess a lot of people are looking for more challenge then.
It was plenty difficult, but I love me some post game content.
Nice this game was pretty awesome but i never finished it. Think i will go back
Must stop commenting on how "I" will download this and do it now!
