Where Is The Best Home For THQ's Various Properties?

If you had to pick a home for Darksiders, Saints Row, and the rest of THQ's game library, where would it be?

This is a serious question facing fans of THQ franchises considering each of them will be on the auction block come January 22. Warner Bros. Interactive, Electronic Arts, and Ubisoft are all reportedly kicking the tires on the struggling publisher's various projects, but nothing is stopping Activision, Take Two, or anyone else from bidding as well.

To see your favorite franchises thrive in the coming years, where would you like to see them land?

  • Saints Row to Ubisoft, Darksiders to Warner, no idea about half the others
  • Anything's fine but EA.
  • I'd be fine with WB taking over those franchises. Ubisoft I think I'd be okay with too but I don't want to see Saints Row become a yearly franchise like Assassin's Creed.
  • Everything to Warner Bros.
  • Ubisoft or maybe even Capcom could get Darksiders, Homefront to Microsoft, South Park to Microsoft, WWE to EA, Saints Row to Activison.
  • On second thought, Square should get Darksiders.
  • On second thought, Square should get Darksiders.
  • Warner Brothers or Valve. The later is purely wishful thinking on my part.
  • NOT EA,Activision, or any other big publishers, I'd rather have them die than that
  • I mentioned on a story a week or so ago that Nintendo could use a few more exclusives for the Wii U. But I'm not too sure if that would be a very good fit for them.
  • Nothing to Activision, probably Darksiders to Warner Bros. Interactive. I would like Square Enix to get Saints Row at least because they had Deus Ex and Sleeping Dogs under their umbrella and would do just fine with it, and I could see Red Faction going to EA but I dunno how that would turn out.
  • I'm gonna say before anyone thinks it, Saints should not go to Take Two. It's a really bad idea, if you know anything about business. I also hope EA doesn't get their hands on anything, just cause they don't seem great. I'm going to champion Square, if it's not Japanese, they seem to do a great job.
  • I'd like to see WB Interactive snag up as many as they think they can properly support (marketing/PR, etc) as they seem like they're at that stage where they're looking to expand; aside from Take-Two, I don't particularly like the stables, or the handling of those stables, of any of the major pub-houses.

I think any of the properties, with the notable exception of Saint's Row, would do well in Take-Two's hands. They would -understandably- have no reason to want SR (and likewise it'd be bad news for SR fans).
  • It would be funny if Take Two (Owner of Rockstar) got the Saints Row franchise. I'd like to see Saints Row continue to grow alongside its now more serious gangsta open world counterpart, GTA.

  • NOT EA OR ACTIVISION. Otherwise, I'm okay with it. Red Faction would do well in either Valve or Gearbox's hands. Saints Row could go to Warner or Ubisoft. Darksiders could go wherever. Besides that... wherever the wind takes them. SO LONG AS IT ISN'T ACTIVISION OR EA. Particularly Activision, because they just devour franchises and drop the husks.
  • Darksiders should go to Take Two, I wouldn't mind Ubisoft or Warner Bros. taking some of the cake either. I just don't want EA to get a hold of anything, especially Saints Row.
  • Honestly as long as Activision doesnt take anything I will be satisfied. I have hope in all companies except for activision.

  • I just hope someone gets the Summoner license and finally makes a sequel/reboot. It's been a long time since Summoner 2 :/ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Summoner_(video_game)
  • I would say 2K might be one of the better places for them.
