The lights are on
The dormant Dead Rising series could be lurching toward gamers again if a resume entry is to be believed. An animator at Blur Studios has listed the unannounced Dead Rising 3 among his credits on LinkedIn.
The animation rigger lists other projects, such as Guardians of Middle Earth, Halo 4, and Dark Souls 2. Dead Rising 3 is nestled among them. There are a few typos in the listings, such as calling PlanetSide 2 "Planete Side 2," so there's always the possibility that Dead Rising 3 is merely another one of those. It is listed as being worked on in 2012, however, and the last game in the series, Dead Rising 2: Off the Record, shipped in 2011.
There was talk about a sequel a few years back, which purportedly takes place in California and stars a mechanic named Rick. Perhaps these are one and the same.
We've reached out to Capcom, and we'll update the story if we hear anything back.

Having typos on your resume is never a good thing. Wouldn't surprise me if there is a DR3 though.
someone dun slipped up
These LinkedIn resume leaks are becoming increasingly common...
He covered zombie games ya know?
Heck yes!!
Dead rising never held my interest
This is making me want to play Dead Rising.
Looks like said employee will be making another update to his resume soon.
If they are making this sequel, I hope it's easier to play in general. I had such a fraustrating time playing the series. If it wasn't for the sandbox style gameplay mixed with all the humor, I wouldn't even touch it! Capcom and it's difficult games... SMH
