Update: Vicarious Visions has deleted the photo featuring the mysterious new Crash Bandicoot from its facebook page. Does it mean anything? Or are we reading into it a little bit too much?

A photo posted on Vicarious Vision's official facebook page of the studio's third annual Game Jam has a poster on the wall that appears to feature a redesigned Crash Bandicoot.
Facebook commenters on the photo pointed out Crash immediately, and NeoGAF user TimmiT posted the image on the message boards. This could be a redesigned Crash for a new game, but it's also possible that Sony's former mascot could be making a cameo in Skylanders, a series Vicarious Visions has helped port to assorted consoles. It could also be a past version of Crash Bandicoot that I simply don't recognize.

The guy closest to the Crash poster looks like he just got back from the 1970's.
thats an ugly ass redesign, so my guess is skylanders. the game may be unique, but oh em gee did they unnecessarily change spyros appearance and beat him with an ugly stick. looks like the same happened to crash
It is okay for a Skylanders design, since they always look sort of off, but I hope this is not a design for a new game.
Looks like my hopes for a super-gritty reboot are out the window.
Looks like a CGI of the Pizza Hut mascot version of Crash! But I also feel like that design isn't new, seen it somewhere in game before...
I think that Crash needs to retire.

Vicarious Visions has perverted Crash Bandicoot enough by making awful sequels and porting him to other consoles. The last decent crash game was Tag Team Racing
I sure HOPE it isn't for a new game...
VV is a pretty okay developer they are sh1tty when it comes to hiring real talent. They only have a few small projects going on right now. They are based right near where I live. Anyone who works for them brags about it. It gets so annoying.

well, considering even though skylanders was originally a skylanders game that he kinda got forgotten in, I hope that after this they let crash die with the very small bit of dignity he may have left after this..... that is, lets hope he has dignity after this, I dont think he will have any if they give him a voice

It's real. Trust me but it is . . . However, most won't care for this Crash because this is almost 100% obvious that he will be a Skylander. Look at the design and under the design. Also, does anyone realize the Skylanders poster at the bottom right of the Crash Poster. If I'm right, I bet we will get information from a new Skylanders Game Preview in February.
