The lights are on
Update: Capcom's Brett Elston tells us that the version 2 update should be releasing this month. The original interview referenced below may have published yesterday, but the interview was conducted in 2012. When Elston said "before the end of the year" he was referring to 2012.
--------------------------------------------
It won't add any new content to the game, but version 2 will fix many of the "rough edges" that hindered Street Fighter X Mega Man.
The news of the update comes from an interview conducted by The Mega Man Network with Capcom's senior community manager Brett Elston. Elston said, "We know there are a few rough edges left, even with a dozen people looking at this. To that end, we can say we’re working on a V2 that will release soon and hopefully address some of those known issues. It’s not adding content, but we’ve been reading responses and can 'tighten up' a few things before the end of the year."
Considering 2013 began four days ago, "before the end of the year," is a fairly broad window. It's coming though, and you can still pick up version 1 for free. Head here to read our review of the game.

I was actually waiting to see if they would fix the complaints I've been hearing about before downloading the game. Maybe they'll add some things while squashing these things.
I still haven't beaten this game yet. I am not sure if I should wait for V2, or just beat it anyways
Screw Capcom for throwing their name on this fan-made game lol...I mean it's the 25th anniversary for the character that gave your gaming company life and this is what you do? You don't even do anything and just take something a fan made and put your name on it? Would you see Nintendo doing this to Mario, or Sega doing this to Sonic? I realize Sonic and Mario are probably a bit more known, but still it if wasn't for Mega Man Capcom wouldn't be anywhere near what it is today. Ok I'm done complaining about Mega Man stuff like I do every day...
ANYWAYS this is a pretty fun game, and I would like some sort of save/password system as I'm sure everybody else would. I'm always down for anything new Megaman as I have beat pretty much everything Mega Man that has ever existed except for the Tron Bonne game if that counts.
I own this game and have been playing it for my PC. Having a save system would be nice. There were a few other things that also could be improved, but I can't think of them off of the top of my head right now.
All in all, it's not a terrible game. It's quite fun.
Maybe it'll finally work on Mac.
In version 2, they remove the complete closing of the program when you hit the escape key. That is all.
Sounds great!
played one stage.
just put the save option/system and yay.
YAY!
Wonderful news! I did play version one. As rough as it was, it was still incredibly fun. I'm very excited to see the 'rough edges' fixed up for a better gaming experience.
How about a save system?
