The lights are on
It is now officially 2013, so let's begin the speculation about the rest of the year. Will we see new consoles from Sony and Microsoft?
The Xbox 360 released in November 2005, and the PlayStation 3 in November 2006. Are eight and seven years a long enough life cycle for home consoles? Or would you like to hold out a little bit longer? And how does the Wii U fit into all this? And when will the PlayStation 9 release? Maybe Sony will skip four, five, six, seven, and eight, and go straight to nine to save on marketing. They can just reuse the commercial below.

I would like to see a new Xbox, but I'd like it to have a release day set in the beginning of next year.
I think we will.
I'ld like the new consoles to be another two years away, but there's no doubt in my mind they'll come out this year. After all, Nintendo started the apocalypse with their Wii U.
I can wait for a new console for a few more years. The commercial seems pretty bogus to me. :P
I heard the new Xbox will be revealed this coming holiday.
I'm sure Xbox will announce theirs, IDK about Sony though. And good job on digging up this commercial, lol. I remember the first time I saw this I was like "wait, what?!" I thought it was a typo in the ad or something.
I expect both to be announced, but only one to be released this year.
There really is no choice. They HAVE to reveal new information.
I expect that both consoles will be launched in 2014.
only 1 of them
I hope one of them comes out this year so next Christmas i can get a new console with a bunch of launch titles and play it over my break
