The lights are on
If you are the kind of gamer that likes to wait a year or two to buy your sports games then you might want to know that EA will soon be shutting down it's online servers for many of the games it released a couple years ago.
On January 11, EA will be retiring the online service for the following titles:
But that's not all. On January 14, EA will also be shutting down The Sims 2 (PC/Mac, and TheSims2.com) and then January 19 Trenches II for iOS gets the axe.
Considering that NBA Live 10 was the last game release for that series, this means that EA Sports will no longer have any NBA games that feature online play. You'll still be able to play these games offline, but if you're looking to do anymore online play with these titles then you better get your game on now. We mean right meow!

Hmm meow that does seem interesting...
Well, that sucks.
That's EA for you.
I think that's a bit too soon. They should at least let a game run for 3 yrs. But if it's an annual entry anything beyond that is just too much.
Huh so that's why NBA Jam is a free title with playstation + this week...
But now I won't be able to go back in time and bet all my monies on Saints, come on! Bounties on injuring top players gets Super Bowls.
I see some angry comments from TA pretty soon..
Guys, enough with all of this cat stuff. I'm not kitten around...
