Fez Goes Multiplatform In 2013

Fez was one of our favorite indie games of the year, but if you don't have an Xbox 360 then you probably haven't had access to it. That changes next year.

In a recent blog post, Fez creator Phil Fish said that he would be porting Fez to other platforms soon.

Fish went on to add, "Beyond that however, the future is uncertain for polytron.  It’s just me now. I could do anything with this company, but i dont know what yet.  There’s a couple of new games in the pipeline, of course.  But there’s also an ambition to do so much more.  I want to design everything!  Maybe not a videogame? Maybe something else entirely."

Sounds kind of odd, but we'll just have to wait and see what Fish decides to do next.

  • He's probably picked up development for Duke Nukem Forever 2 and Half-Life 3

  • Looks like his perspective has changed
  • Eh I'm one of the very few who thought this game was meerly OK. In terms of indie games this year. It was no Journey or Hotline Miami
  • Yes! Now if I can only get Bastion on PS3 I'll be set.
  • Still need to play Fez..

  • What is Fez about?
  • LOL, Phil Fish freaks out soooo easily... but with good reason, I mean this is his life's work.
  • Not played it and probably will never get around to playing it. Good for those wanting to try it that don't have an xbox.

  • Awesome!

  • Fingers crossed for Mac.

  • He could take his lunch money and go home.

  • Yay! Let's hope we get it on the PS3! Been wanting to play it!

  • I can't wait to play this on PS3 or PC!  This is one of the few titles that I wish I had 360 for.

  • yes! day 1 purchase for pc for me.

  • This was a pretty great game, but man did it feel lacking.

The music and graphics were freaking amazing. It was obvious the guy who made it was trying to capture the spirit of the great platformers of old. But damn, you just spend most the game walking around, walking around, walking around... The puzzles were fantastic, but the game wasn't endless puzzles, there were long stretches between them; that's where the game really failed for me. It would have been great if there was something to do during those treks.

HINT: there is a reason why all other games like this have enemies.
  • But PC and PS3 don't have controllers and cannot be played from the couch! How can we possibly enjoy it?!
  • yes

  • Hey Phil Fish, what happened to "PC's are for spreadsheets"
  • So much for best platform exclusive, oh wait, that went to Journey.
  • Another lost IP for Microsoft.
