It was teased earlier this month, but now the Lighting Returns: Final Fantasy XIII trailer is officially here.

So, first came Final Fantasy XIII, then Final Fantasy XIII-2, and now Lighting Returns: Final Fantasy XIII, which isn't confusing at all. Check out the trailer below to see Lightning look cool in some some sunglasses standing in front of a giant clock.

Lighting Returns: Final Fantasy XIII is releasing some time in 2013.

i really badly wish they had just left 13 alone, i've watched 2 ff games be announced that i instantly knew i had no interest in playing, 13-2 and this one.. if they had just made seperate games, one might have been interesting..

I noticed the changes in the battle system, seems like it's going to be quite different. Oh, and get rid of Hope, I hated him in XIII and that didn't change in XIII-2.

Even though I wasn't overly impressed with FF XIII and never played the sequel, I like what I'm seeing here. Might have to keep an eye on this.

She looks like an assassin from assassins Creed. The city she is running around looks quite different than anything I have seen in the past two games. The way 13-2 ended and not purchasing the DLC leaves me with major plots missing

I'm not sure what to make of this yet. I loved XIII, but didn't like XIII-2. I hope the story will be better in the third game than it was in the second. Even so, I'll definitely pick it up day one.

I thought the last two were great. Maybe not what everyone wanted but, I really enjoyed them. Looking forward to next year!
