Zynga Japan Shutting Down Next Month

Back in October, it was proposed that Zynga may be shutting down its Japanese branch. Zynga Japan CEO Kenji Matsubara has confirmed the upcoming closure on Facebook.

Inserting Matsubara's text into Google translate reveals that the publisher will be shutting down at the end of January and that everyone would like to thank everyone who offered their support.

    Sucks for the people who have jobs the but I can't deny the sound of less Zynga seems great.

    Really? Well I dont think Facebook games are a good way of gaming but it has brought friends together in gaming.

    Zynga's toxic reputation destroys more livelihoods, it seems.

    Anyone talented there, Merry Christmas. *sigh*

    Hope those guys reform into a new studio. I'm sure Square Enix needs more studios to pump out Final Fantasy social games.

    I'm sorry but I don't consider a game company a game company who makes facebook games... The Doctor's at Bioware and Valve, and the Evil Geniuses at Bethesda, Gearbox, and Irrational Games should not be compared to sub par game developers at Zynga who create social networking games... These are just examples I'm glad to see Zynga japan go, everyone thinks they have what it takes to make games and this shows that they don't.. Start putting out games with more story and content and maybe real gamers might stop by more often.. Sorry Zynga it's the truth good luck to all those involved

    I wish Zynga would shut down world wide. I really have a hatred for that company. They practically started wth all the games on facebook and stealing other people games and turning them into flash games. Facebook no longer because a social site. Is not overloaded with trashy games and pictures for people to read. (the picture issue is something different). I hate Zynga as much as I hate Nintendo and Apple.
