The lights are on
Family Guy Online, which only opened up its beta to the public a few months ago, is shutting down on January 18, 2013.
The news comes from a posting on the Family Guy Online website. Refunds will be issued back to those who spent real money of the game during the beta.
There is another Family Guy game that released recently, but if our review is any indication, it probably shouldn't have ever left beta either.

This news must be terrible for its 3 subscribers.
Not 1 Family guy game has been very good. Stop slapping a good license onto a bad game to get it to sell!
considering the show is in decline, it is no surprise that the games suck as well.
Kind of hate hearing when community games get shut down (MMO's, social games, etc.). A lot of time gets invested in these games, and the last thing anyone wants to hear is their favorite game has a deadline. Still, if this game's shutting down, I'm guessing it's because not a whole lot of people are playing. I mean, I can't imagine Family Guy succeeding as an online game :P
When will the world learn that if someone wants a good licensed game made, go to Rocksteady? lol. Though it's not like there are that many publishers that legitimately care about the quality of the product or how well the game works with it's license, they just want money, and that's just the world we live in.
Can't say I'm shocked. Though, it could be due to the rise of the MMO market and the many games with it that caused the axe to be dropped down.
Aw man! I REALLY thought this was gonna take off! Also I thought motion controls were viable.
Probably not a great sign...
Never knew the beta came out. Guess it's a good thing the game is closing.
Family Guy should not exist period....The show sucks! www.youtube.com/watch
That's a downer....I think.
