People of every walk of life play games, but gamers with certain disabilities aren't able to enjoy every game that hits the market. Accessibility-minded website Dagers put together a list of the best – and most accessible – games of the year.

Dagers Editor, and ex-GI intern, Josh Straub put together this list of the best games of 2012 for disabled gamers. Diablo III topped the list for its simple controls and extensive customization, not to mention the fact that it is a great game. Check out the full list below, and read Josh's reasonings here.

It's nice to see that Borderlands and Pokémon are high up there.

The fact that this list consists of great games makes this even more better, and glad to see that they are more open for people with disabilities. Also, to anyone who is going to comment about how Diablo III sucks, this is not the point of the article. So go troll on a Blizzard forum.

I'd say Pokemon would have been higher on the list two generations ago because you could set the L button to work as the A button and play the entire thing with just one hand.

I am probably the only person here who thinks this, but what about an audio only video game for the blind? I could see old text based games redone with voice acting, good voice acting, and playable on the Kinect. I am sure that even sighted gamers would love it, listening to a story and making decisions in an adventure game. Well, maybe that is just me.

This is talking about ease of use, not about technical issues. Obviously technical issues affect everyone, regardless of whether you have a disability or not.

I need to get back into Diablo 3.

edit: I hope they add a PvP mode. Maybe a DotA/MOBA mode where you can play as your heroes? Am I the only one who thinks this could be awesome?

Hm. Never though about what defines accessibility in a game. If they have any consideration for the Deaf and hard of hearing, than the subtitles for AC III definitely should kick it off the list. Only ANTS could read those subtitles. ANTS!
