Capcom Gets Blasphemous With DMC Holiday Card

It's that wonderful time of the year when video game companies get into the holiday spirit and – what the heck is going here?!

Oh, Capcom. Not only have you managed to create what may be the world's first Not Safe For Work holiday card, but you actually sent it out to all the people you work with. You can view the card in full in the gallery below and print a copy for your own place of business – just don't blame us if your company has stricter holiday card rules than the video game industry does.

  • Wish I received one
  • Courting controversy for the sake of courting controversy. Meh.
  • Saw that in the demo! I liked it then and like it now. The fact that it's a Christmas card is even better.
  • Wow, that's the raciest holiday card I've seen. He must be in an Axe commercial. XD
  • I'm really not seeing the "not safe for work" quality to this card, that they're talking about. It's half-naked, but tactically concealed, T&A; nothing terribly dangerous about that. Maybe I'm too desensitized to be offended by this, or maybe some people are too sensitive themselves. Either way, neat card.
  • Dude, have you ever stepped into a Church built between the 14th and 17th century in France or Italy? Or in a Museum with works from any catholic artist of the Renaissance? Your ignorance is embarassing
  • too bad he looks like a punk this change was a bad move
  • I could imagine a System of the Down song playing in the background of this image.
  • It doesn't matter how cool it looks. That sh*t is f*cked up.
  • It does look really cool. And typical of the kind of immature misogyny that will never let video games grow up. *Sigh*
  • What is most annoying is that it is indeed tasteless. Not the whole "morally questionable method of taking a piss on a an entire religion and its followers" deal, but the image is simply of poor quality. What the hell is Dante staring down at? Some gnat? The focal point where the angels and Dantes' line of sight merge is......his white, sleeveless shirt / tank top. Which now means that my impressions of this game are going to be tied to memories of mullets and drunken warblings of Metallica by the next door neighbors I had in my old neighborhood. (And something tells me the OST is going to be filled with the *** child of Metallica and Moby. Clearly, Capcom, if the MML3 fiasco wasn't enough, if on-disc DLC wasn't enough, you are certainly doing an admirable job of continuing to convince me you don't want my money).
  • Seems appropriate. I find new Dante blasphemous in several ways. I mean, you try not cringing when nicy nice Vergil comes on screen. Or that all the characters transformed into caucasians, that's kinda unsettling too.
  • cool art. but, its kinda offensive.
  • Damn, I wish I got card like this one. It's freaking sweet!

  • This makes me want to troll some overzealous easily offended fellows.
  • How long until fox news uses this as more ammo against the industry?
  • this is what gives gamers a bad name...
  • Played the DMC demo yesterday i thought it was aight. Nvr got into those games anyways.

  • Well huh...?
