Rally Expansion Hits Forza Horizon

Today is a good day for expanding your existing games. Forza Horizon joins the ranks of Resident Evil 6, Rage, and Need for Speed Most Wanted as a game with downloadable content available for purchase today.

In Forza's case, the DLC takes the form of a rally expansion, which we've detailed previously. For 1600 Microsoft Points ($20), the Rally Expansion Pack adds new cars that player can upgrade. It also has new terrain, challenges, and career events waiting for you.

Rally is such a different beast... I'm honestly a bit intimidated, but absolutely will be picking this up.

Forza Horizon was an unfinished game. Trying to get people to pay 50$ for a season pass was a real slap in the face. I'm sticking with the stock game and refuse to pick up any DLC for this. I really hope the Forza team doesn't pull a stunt like this with it's next release.

I really enjoyed the main game and have already played the Rally Expansion. The good news: If you get used to the mechanics, it's a ton of fun. The bad news: It is separate from the main game. Meaning that you choose the expansion as a 3rd option after single player and Multiplayer. This isn't THAT bad, but I was hoping the add-on would open up a new part of the existing world. Also, an article stated, "...and more surface variety." It's winter, the horizon world exists in Colorado, and it's a rally expansion. WHY aren't there snow & ice surfaces?? Again, it's super fun (and I LOVE the scenery in this game), but I was hoping for a bit of a change into the higher mountain ranges with more of a winter vibe.
